DCI supplies over 2000 customers in 40 different countries ranging from large multiple retailers to small independent stores.

Our company philosophy is to produce everything at our UK based factory. All R&D, manufacturing, ink formulation, packaging design, tooling and production under one roof in our 32,364m2 factory.

The Products

The Jet Tec brand was launched in 1996 and has become established as the trusted brand in the UK market, proven to generate high repeat sales and margin for the reseller. We manufacture new compatible inkjets (Brother, Canon and Epson) and remanufacture inkjet cartridges (Brother, Canon, Dell, HP, Kodak, Lexmark and Samsung).

In addition, we remanufacture an extensive range of laser toners using only the highest quality empty toners. These are collected through our effective recycling scheme. Only the best toner powder is evaluated and incorporated. Further products include ink refill kits, bulk ink and photo paper. All our products are covered by our 100% quality guarantee.

    Jet Tec printer cartridges

Which Jet Tec cartridge do you need?

Browse our list of inkjet printers or laser printers and click on your printer model to see which cartridges you need and find out if Jet Tec is available for your printer.

    Print More. Pay Less.

Jet Tec is Europes leading manufacturer of compatible and recycled printer products. Jet Tec has been established for over 25 years at its UK manufacturing base and is renowned for the quality, reliability and patented technology of their products. At UK Ink Supplies we only stock products that we believe represent the best value and quality on the market, we have nearly a decade of experience selling Jet Tec products throughout Europe and firmly believe that switching to Jet Tec will change the way you think about printing.

    Jet Tec Extra Life

Most Jet Tec cartridges supplied for Canon and Epson printers offer unique technology called "Extra Life". With many ink cartridges it is common to find that the printer reports the cartridge as empty whilst there is still ink in the cartridge. Extra Life technology ensures that every last drop of the ink in the cartridge is utilised - giving you more prints and better value. All Jet Tec cartridges are guaranteed to print at least the same amount as the original cartridge.

Jet Tec is better for the environment

Jet Tec adhere to the highest environmental processes in the production and design of their cartridges. Many of todays manufacturers of printer cartridges are based in China, with the long distance transportation involved there are huge volumes of greenhouse gases emitted. Jet Tec products are manufactured in Lincolnshire, UK and therefore travel a shorter distance. Combine this with the UK Ink Supplies commitment of using land and sea based transport to transfer our goods between our distribution centres and you can be certain that carbon emissions are kept to an absolute minimum.

    Unique Patented Technology

Jet Tec cartridges may look different from the original cartridge supplied by your printer manufacturer. This is because the technology built in to the cartridge is unique and patented by Jet Tec. The cartridges are guaranteed to deliver the same number of prints as the original cartridge and in some cases can deliver significantly more prints than the original. All the cartridges are manufactured in the UK at a custom built facility with the highest quality assurance and manufacturing processes implemented.

    Bring Your Pictures To Life

You want to save money and you still want that photo of your granddaughters first birthday or your sons graduation to look as dazzling as the moment they were taken when you share them with friends and family. Jet Tec cartridges match the original manufacturers guidelines for light-fastness ensuring that your precious moments stay as true as your memories for a lifetime.

    Still have questions?

We know you will be extremely pleased by the results offered by Jet Tec, but in case you have any more questions you can always contact a member of our highly trained customer service team who will answer any additional questions you may have. You can find our contact details here.

    Epson T0731 ink cartridges

Please do not shake the cartridge before use. Before installing your compatible ink cartridge, you must remove the RED SEALING CLIP by ‘snapping’ it off.

Ignore the small piece of red plastic that remains, install the inkjet cartridge, pressing it firmly down. Do not touch the gold coloured contacts before installing the cartridge. Ensure the cartridge is completely pressed down, it will not ‘click’ when installed.
    Q. My cartridge is showing as unrecognised. I have printed with it since it was installed.
    A. The printer driver on later Epson printers has been programmed to display this message when the ink runs out on a compatible cartridge. This is to discourage you from saving money by buying compatible cartridges. The print yield from your compatible cartridge is equal to the original.
    Q. My cartridge shows as unrecognised or empty after switching on the printer or leaving it a while.
    A. The printer periodically cleans the printhead, using ink from the cartridges. This may empty a cartridge resulting in these messages. Change the cartridge as normal.
    Q. Why do I not get a low ink sign in the status monitor?
    A. This is another example of the software making things difficult for compatible cartridge users.
    Q. I have installed a replacement cartridge and now another cartridge is empty or unrecognised.
    A. Installing a new cartridge takes ink out of all the cartridges, which may result in another one becoming empty.
    Q. Why is there ink left in the cartridge when it becomes empty?
    A. The printer counts how much ink is used and stops the cartridge at a certain point, this is preset and cannot be changed. Some printer models will allow more ink to be used than others.
    Q. There are lines / streaks on the paper when printing.
    A. Perform a print head cleaning cycle. This can be located within the printer maintenance menu. Print a nozzle check to see if all the nozzles are free of blockages. If breaks still appear on the printed page, repeat the process. If the nozzle check page displays one set of black nozzles shown below, only perform up to two cleans.
If the screen displays up to three sets of nozzles, perform up to three cleans:
99% of all blocked nozzles are caused by trapped air within the print head. If the cleaning cycle does not remove the lines, rest the printer for half an hour and perform a nozzle check. (Do not continue to clean the cartridges as this will use up valuable ink from all the cartridges). If there is no improvement, leave the cartridge for a further two hours. During the rest period, ink from the cartridge will migrate through the cartridge and absorb / push trapped air from the print head. If Epson cartridges are removed from the printer for any length of time, the print head is liable to dry out and block up. Always remove used cartridges when you have a replacement available. Never remove the power supply when the printer is in operation such as paper feed, cleaning cycle and printing. When the printer is not in use, the print head will park over the ‘capping mechanism’ which seals over the print head preventing it from drying out.
    Q. I have installed a full set of replacement cartridges and the status monitor indicates they are all empty.
    A. It is possible that one of the cartridge chips has not connected properly with one of the printer electrical contacts. The printer carriage needs to be placed in the cartridge change position. This can be achieved by either pressing the ink / OK button on the printer or following the step by step cartridge change guide located within the printer maintenance menu. Lift the cartridge location lever and push your finger firmly on the top of the cartridges. If this fails, carefully lift the affected cartridge without breaking the rubber seal at the bottom of the product. Push firmly back into position to re-engage the chip / printer contacts. Using Jet Tec remanufactured HP ink cartridges

Remove the transport clip, and use to seal the empty ink cartridge you are replacing. Send the old printer cartridge back for remanufacturing (click ink cartridge recycling for more details). Put the replacement Jet Tec inkjet cartridge into the printer and close the cover.
    Q. I have installed my Jet Tec cartridge but the printer is showing the ink cartridge has not been installed.
    A. Check the cartridge is the correct model for the printer. HP manufacture many different cartridges, which look the same, but are not always interchangeable. If the ink cartridge is the correct one for your printer, remove the cartridge, and wipe the gold coloured electrical contacts with a tissue, before reinstalling the cartridge (see below).

    Q. I have cleaned the contacts and checked the type is correct, but I still have problems.
    A. The cartridge may have an electrical fault. Return the cartridge to your store for a replacement.
    Q. The status monitor says the cartridge has previously been used, or the ink is depleted.
    A. Some HP printers will write empty to a cartridge when it is finished. When the warning box appears, press OK to continue using the printer without the status monitor. The status monitor is not needed for printing. Replace the cartridge as usual, when the ink starts running out. (Don’t forget to return the cartridge for recycling)
    Q. I have lines in my printout, or bands of colour missing.
    A. The printer has a cleaning cycle designed to remove air trapped in the cartridge’s printhead. Use this cleaning cycle according to the instructions for your printer.
    Q. The cleaning cycle did not improve my print quality.
    A. The cartridge may have run out of ink, is so replace with another one, and return the old cartridge for recycling. If you believe the cartridge should be OK, try wiping the printhead on the cartridge with a moist tissue. (Deionised water is best to moisten the tissue, some hard tap water may make the problem worse). Wipe the printhead from front to back until you get a black line, or three colour line on the tissue. Reinstall the cartridge and try again.
    Q. I have installed a new cartridge and there is a light flashing on my printer.

    A. On most HP printers, a light flashing on the front of the printer indicates that the installed cartridge has not been detected by the printer. Ensure that the you have installed the correct cartridge for the printer. Lift the lid of the printer and wipe the cartridge electrical contacts with a piece of dry tissue (indicated below by the red arrow). This will remove any grease or dirt which may have broken the electrical contact.

Re-install the cartridge. At this stage do not wipe the print head, which is identified as Number 2.

    Q. My cartridge is the correct model and I have cleaned the electrical contacts twice but still the cartridge cannot be recognised.
    A. There is possibly an electrical fault with the product.
    Q. I have installed a new cartridge and the status monitor says it has previously been used.
    A. Built within the electrical circuitry of the cartridge is a preset ink counter. Once this ink counter has been completed the printer will purposely damage the cartridge by destroying a cartridge fuse. This system is designed to deter the consumer from refilling or using a remanufactured products. The cartridge will work correctly but without the assistance of a status monitor. Cartridges should be replaced once the print quality deteriorates.
The above screen may appear on both black and colour cartridges following installation.
    Q. I have installed a new cartridge and the print quality is poor with missing print and white streaks.
    A. The cartridge has been supplied in a clip which is designed to prevent the cartridge from drying out. On most HP inkjet printers the print head which delivers the ink is incorporated into the design of the cartridge. Most print faults are caused by air trapped within the print head. Perform a cleaning cycle by accessing your printer toolbox. The method of accessing the HP toolbox will vary depending upon your printer model.

The above screen may be accessed from your printer properties. Click the service icon and the following screen will appear:

Click the relevant icon to perform a cleaning cycle. Other methods to obtain the toolbox are as follows: Start / All Programs / HP / Printer Model / Toolbox Start / All Programs / HP / HP Solution Centre / Select Printer from Screen / Settings / Printer Toolbox
    Q. I have cleaned the cartridge using the printer toolbox and the quality is still poor after installing a new cartridge.
    A. Lift the carriage lid and remove the affected cartridge. On the colour cartridge there are three sets of ink nozzles, wipe the cartridge with tissue paper until three sets of colours appear on the paper. On the black cartridge only one line of ink will appear.
Number 2 identifies the location of the print head. Number 1 identifies the electrical contacts.

If there is no improvement with the print quality, repeat the above steps but use tissue moistened with de-ionised water. (Tap water will react with the die / pigment and cause further print faults). The cartridge will need to be exchanged if this does not work. If the cartridge has been installed in the printer for some time and print problems occur, repeat the above steps. If problems persist it is highly likely the cartridge is empty.
    Q. I have installed a new cartridge and ink has poured out of the printer.
HP inkjet printers automatically go through a cleaning cycle which is designed to ensure optimum print quality. A small amount of ink is removed from the print head of the cartridge and deposited into an absorbent pad located under the parked cartridge position. Ink is removed when: • A new cartridge is installed • A cleaning / priming cycle is activated • The printer has been unused for a period of time There is no printer warning system for the consumer when the absorbent pad becomes saturated. Ink will leak out of the pad and sit in the bed of the printer. If the bed of the printer becomes full the ink is highly liable to leak onto the printer work surface. This condition usually occurs with older printer models that contain references: HP15 / HP17 / HP23 / HP45 / HP78

The bottom arrow identifies the absorbent pad. The top arrow identifies ink which has leaked from the pad onto the bed of the printer. This leakage can also occur when the printer has been transported

Kodak Easyshare Printers & Kodak 10 Printer Ink Cartridges

Kodak is traditionally known for its extensive photographic film products. With innovations and technological improvements in photography, Kodak started to focus on digital photography and digital printing. Kodak Easyshare printers can save up to 50% on everything that you have to print as compared to the stalwart consumer inkjet printers. It has convenient two-cartridge and five-ink systems which produce quality pictures as fast as 30 seconds, with printed pictures that can last a lifetime. Its affordability, quality picture produced and ease of use makes this product ahead of other similar inkjet printers on the market.

The Kodak ESP 3 All-in-One Printer, which is sold at around £89.99, produces high-quality documents and pictures while at the same time saves as much as 50% on the costs when printing. This model can print, copy and scan pictures and documents. It can print photos as fast as 30 seconds. Thirty pages of documents in black can be printed in just one minute. And 29 pages of coloured documents can be printed in a minute. Another model among the Easyshare printers is the Easyshare 5100 All-in-One Printer, which costs around £89.99. This printer can print, copy and scan documents and pictures. It uses 2-cartridge and 6-ink system. This can also print pictures as fast as 30 seconds. Easyshare 5500 All-in-One Printer, which costs £130.00, is the most costly model among the Easyshare printers. Still, it is cheaper than inkjet printers. It can print, copy, scan, and fax documents. It has high resolution 2.4 inches colour display which allows the user to do easy photo cropping. It also offers efficient and easy two-sided printing. Also, its 35-page automatic document feeder helps in making copying, scanning, and faxing simple.

Kodak printer ink cartridges, just like the Easyshare printers, allow you to save up to 50% on the cost of everything that you print, compared to conventional inkjet printers. Its revolutionary pigmented inkjet system helps to produce crisp, sharp black documents and quality photographs that can last a lifetime. Kodak 10 ink cartridge multipack produces the sharpest print of photos and documents for both routine and high-production use. This ink cartridge costs around £22.00. Kodak 10 multi-colour inkjet cartridge has 3-ink colour cartridge that produces vivid pictures. This ink cartridge is compatible with the Kodak Easyshare 5000 Series All-in-One Printers. This is sold at £16.00 in the market.

Digital photography has all-but replaced film photography in the market because of continuous innovations and technology in photography. Along with these innovations is the complexity and cost of digital photography. Most modern homes use inkjet printers. But printing large volumes of pictures at home using inkjet printers are costly. Printer Ink cartridges and types of photo paper used in printing add to the costly price. Kodak’s development of Easyshare printers and its corresponding ink cartridges offer a cheaper cost of printing pictures at home. Some of their ink cartridges even come with photo paper making the running costs more competitive. Apart from the lower consumables costs that Kodak offers the user, its Easyshare printers produce quality outputs. In general, Kodak offers the market easy-to-use and inexpensive digital photography.

Jet Tec achieve the Blue Angel certification

Jet Tec win Blue Angel award for remanufactured laser toners
Jet Tec are pleased to confirm that their remanufactured HP Q6511A toner cartridge has passed the Blue Angel testing. The German certification has been running since 1978 and offers manufacturers the opportunity to show that their products have an environmental advantage. The label now covers approximately 10,000 products in 80 categories.

The certification is awarded to products which are more environmentally friendly than “mainstream” products. The tested products satisfy a vast range of requirements including the safety of the products and ensuring the product has minimal impact on the environment. The HP Q6511A laser toner was tested for certain requirements for each stage of its whole life cycle; from the use of the product; to its eventual disposal and recycling. The Jet Tec remanufactured toner showed more environmentally friendly properties than other manufacturers.
Phil Sneath, Commercial Manager, stated “The Blue Angel certification was of particular importance to DCI / Jet Tec as we pride ourselves on our environmentally friendly processes. We currently manufacture to the environmental standard ISO 14001. Certification is a further endorsement of DCI’s commitment to manufacturing environmentally friendly products.”

Along with the Blue Angel, DCI / Jet Tec have also achieved ISO19798 as official validation for the page yield on their remanufactured HP Q6000 range. This has been independently certified by TUV Rhineland. This accreditation is a method for calculating the average yield of a laser toner cartridge, measured in the number of standard pages.

DCI / Jet Tec have now achieved a number of important accreditations for their laser toner products. This reflects the company commitment to ensuring products and production processes meet stringent environmental, safety and quality aspects.

DCI / Jet Tec collect laser toner cartridges through their effective recycling schemes; in association with their sister company The Recycling Factory. Only those of the highest quality are remanufactured in the Lincolnshire based factory. DCI / Jet Tec has extensive tooling and manufacturing capabilities and a prestigious engineering background enabling them to design and build tooling and machinery for the remanufacturing process to ensure the very best techniques are used, achieving OEM results.
